About Us

Our instructors are comprehensively trained, meaning they are trained on over 500 apparatus and mat exercises created by Joseph Pilates. This takes over 700 hours of learning, practicing, and doing to understand how to safely and effectively work with various body types.

We attend conferences and workshops on an ongoing basis to further our knowledge and understanding of the Pilates method as well as the human body. We strive to continuously grow as instructors to better serve our clients.

About Nina

My first exposure to Pilates was in high school to complement my ballet training. I remember walking out feeling taller and stronger at the end of every session. I continued to dabble in Pilates as well as other forms of exercise as I pursued a degree and career in engineering. In the pursuit of greater flexibility and balance in my life, I returned to my love of movement when I became a Pilates instructor over 15 years ago. I’m still energized and excited by working with people to help them grow stronger and move more easily so they can enjoy their lives more fully. It’s an amazing feeling when you see the beaming face of a client who achieved what they previously thought impossible.

Together we start with where you are and go from there.

My explorations of alternative modalities and healing practices led me to complete certifications in the Melt Method and Reiki in 2021. Melt helps me to connect more deeply with my body to find greater freedom and ease of movement, while Reiki allows the body and mind to still in order to tap into the body’s innate ability to heal.

When I’m not in the Pilates studio, I can be found enjoying the scent of pine on a hike with my kids or sweating it out in a yoga class or on a bike. Having lived in seven states as well as in Europe, I caught the travel bug and thoroughly enjoy travelling and exploring new places.

Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure.
